About QIP and Diagnostic Imaging
Established in 2000, Quality in Practice (QIP) is a leading provider of accreditation services to the health and human services markets and professions including diagnostic imaging and physiotherapy.
Accreditation is independent recognition that an organisation, program or activity meets the requirements of defined criteria or standards. It is a proven method to measure, improve and benchmark performance over time to advance quality providing assurance for owners, managers, staff, funding bodies and consumers.
QIP is a wholly owned subsidiary of Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL), the preferred accreditation provider of the majority of accredited general practices in Australia.
QIP is committed to providing a simple and effective accreditation and certification program consistent with international best practice. Accreditation is our core business.
QIP is one of three accreditation agencies approved by the Minister for Health and Ageing to provide diagnostic imaging accreditation services and is the provider of choice for approximately 40% of diagnostic imaging service providers nationally.

Profession and industry engagement
We deliver accreditation based on the philosophy of profession and industry engagement.
QIP is currently experiencing significant expansion; we have commenced an accreditation program for offender health services in Queensland, and later this year we will be launching a retirement village accreditation program.
Our growth
Our growth over the past ten years is based on our reputation for designing and delivering quality accreditation programs, our genuine passion for continuous quality improvement, and the successful partnerships we have developed with the following industry organisations:

These partnerships are testimony to our consultative and honest approach to doing business and our innovation in developing uncomplicated quality accreditation programs which meet the unique needs of each of these health markets.
ISQua accreditation
Consistent with our commitment to quality and accreditation, QIP is accredited by the ISQua. As an accredited organisation we participate in self-assessment and external evaluation on a regular basis, ensuring our approach to the provision of accreditation and certification services is consistent with international best practice.
