How does it all work? Accreditation is a three year cycle. The following steps outline the accreditation process:
1. You will receive your accreditation information 12 months prior to your accreditation expiry date. If you are registering for the first time, you do not need to worry about an expiry date, but you must be accredited within 12 months after registering.
2. Your practice performs a self assessment. This means conducting a rigorous assessment of your practice and recording your results using the electronic self assessment system AccreditationPro.
3. Surveyors will visit your practice after your self assessment.
4. The Accreditation Review Committee reviews the report of the surveyors prior to granting accreditation.
5. You will receive notification that your report is available online and a hard copy of your report will be sent to your practice.
6. You receive documentary validation and recognition, including your practice marketing tools and ongoing supply of informative publications.
7. You have access to ongoing support from QIP/AGPAL staff.
Throughout this cycle, QIP/AGPAL is there to assist practices every step of the way. Practices can call our toll free help line 1300 362 111 for any queries practices may have and speak directly to one of our friendly staff.
QIP/AGPAL is committed to providing practices with genuine support and practical resources.
