The Standards
Service providers who applied for accreditation under Stage I of the Scheme were audited against the Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme Standards – first edition.
Service providers applying for accreditation under Stage II of the Scheme will be audited against the Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme Standards (Entry Level or Full Suite) – second edition. The Full Suite Standards are an expanded Standards framework.
The Federal Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA) developed and owns the Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme Standards.
As part of our commitment to quality, QIP takes an active role in helping to educate service providers about safety and quality improvement and the requirements of the Standards applicable to their profession.
QIPs processes are designed to ensure diagnostic imaging service providers can interpret and understand the Standards relevant to them, identify areas within the Standards they are not currently meeting and access support to make improvements.
