From 17-19 April 2008 Melbourne came alive as we celebrated our 10th anniversary and ten years of accreditation. The vibrant program presented the latest on quality improvement in health care through four streams: communication, leadership, safety and the regulatory environment. The role of the consumer was reflected throughout the program starting with Karni Liddell, paralympian tellings us our story through to the Choir of Hard Knocks bringing the audience to tears with their amazing voices.

Some of the other conference highlights were:

Surveyor Training

QIP and AGPAL Surveyors got together to go over the finer points of AccreditationPro and the Standards. This training session gave surveyors the opportunity to network and to catch up with peers. We also congratulated surveyors who have been with AGPAL for 10 years.

Samba Party

Quality Carnivale opened in true carnivale style with a Samba party. The night was full of fun as 'Mango Tango' entertained the crowd playing music and walking on stilts. Hors d'oevres and beverages were served in the trade area for some relaxation before the exciting conference kicked off.

Carnivale Gala Dinner

The Carnivale Gala Dinner surprised and entertained like no other conference dinner and provided rare networking opportunities with peers and industry leaders. The night included dancers, a mouthwatering selection of food and an array of boutique beverages and a 10 piece brass band.
