QIP is building a national network of safeguarding professionals to conduct independent assessments against the QIP Safeguarding Standards for Children and Adults at Risk (QIP Safeguarding Standards) – Australia’s first internationally accredited safeguarding framework.

What does a QIP Safeguarding Assessor do?
QIP Safeguarding Assessors evaluate how organisations implement safeguarding systems and practices to protect children and adults at risk.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing organisations against the QIP Safeguarding Standards.
- Reviewing safeguarding governance, risk management and organisational practices.
- Preparing structured assessment reports outlining findings and recommendations.
- Recognising areas of good practice and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Ideal experience
Successful applicants will typically have experience in areas such as:
- Safeguarding frameworks or child safe standards
- Compliance, governance, or auditing
- Risk management
- Quality or organisational improvement
Minimum requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in social work, community services, law, psychology, or a related field.
- Three to five years’ experience in the human services sector with children, young people or adults at risk in Australia.
- Valid Working with Children and Working with Vulnerable People checks.
- Current National Police Check (issued within the last three years).
- Legal right to work in Australia.
