Updated Advisory AS18/11 on My Health Record

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care has updated Advisory AS18/11: Providing Clinical Information to My Health Record.

This Advisory will help healthcare services to meet Actions 1.17 and 1.18 of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards on implementing the My Health Record system.

Key changes

• Updated compliance timelines for healthcare provider identifiers.
• Clarified requirements for the use of national patient and provider identifiers and standard national terminologies.
• Increased focus on monitoring and evaluating ongoing compliance with Actions 1.17 and 1.18.
• Updated expectations for accreditation assessments and evidence requirements.
