About Podiatry Practice Accreditation

Create your quality footprint Podiatry_Cicular Feet Graphic_Blues Purples

QIP and the Australasian Podiatry Council (APODC) and have worked in collaboration to develop the Podiatry Practice Accreditation Program.

The program is contemporary, responsive to the needs of the podiatry profession and provides a sound evidence-based approach to accreditation. It focuses on the six National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards applicable to podiatrists.

QIP is one of a few select organisations approved by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC) to provide NSQHS Standards accreditation.

Assessment against the NSQHS Standards improves the quality of health service provision in Australia while providing a consistent statement of the level of care consumers should be able to expect from health service organisations.

In 2014 and 2015, QIP engaged several podiatry practices in a pilot program to ensure the accreditation process, resources and evidence requirements were reflective and aligned to the needs of the profession. Feedback gathered during this process has helped shape the program.

Accreditation helps your podiatry practice create your quality footprint.
