We’re looking for experienced dental professionals to join our team as QIP Dental Assessors in response to increased demand for dental accreditation assessments. This contractor role involves conducting desktop assessments, allowing you to work remotely and flexibly—making it ideal for fitting around existing professional or personal commitments. What does a Dental Assessor do?
As a QIP Private Dental Assessor, you’ll support the delivery and improvement of safe, high-quality dental care by:
- Assessing practice submissions for accreditation
- Evaluating documentation and evidence against national standards including National Safety and Quality Primary and Community Healthcare Standards (Primary and Community Healthcare Standards)
- Providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement
- Collaborating with the QIP team – all from the comfort of your own home.

Eligibility requirements
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Have at least 5 years’ experience in a dental setting (e.g. dental assistant, hygienist, nurse, or dentist)
- Have 3+ years of experience in private dental practice
- Understand accreditation standards such as Primary and Community Healthcare Standards (or be willing to learn)
- Have an active ABN and Professional indemnity insurance
- Demonstrate strong skills in communication, documentation, and critical thinking
- Be able to work independently and manage assessment tasks online
- Hold health management, clinical or other relevant qualifications and/or have relevant dental health sector experience
- Have experience in the primary and community healthcare sector, and the capability to assess services against a range of standards using a suitable mix of skills and knowledge.
Note: No prior assessor experience required – we’ll provide comprehensive training.
