QIP is the International Retirement Community Accreditation Scheme’s (IRCAS) exclusive accreditation provider of the Retirement Villages Accreditation Scheme in Australia.
QIP and IRCAS collaboratively developed the Retirement Village Accreditation Scheme – which launched in 2012. The Scheme encourages retirement villages to become accredited against the International Retirement Community Accreditation Scheme (IRCAS) Standards and ensure quality improvement forms part of everyday operations.
Retirement villages that meet their state/territory definition of a retirement village can participate in QIP accreditation against the IRCAS Standards.

The achievement of accreditation can assist potential residents to make an informed purchasing decision by demonstrating the village’s commitment to quality accommodation and services.
Accreditation provides retirement villages with independent confirmation and knowledge that a set of industry Standards are met, focusing on:

- Good governance
- High levels of safety and quality
